ASPIRING apprentices are invited to apply for positions with the NHS starting in September.

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust as well as doctor’s surgeries, clinical commissioning groups and other health bodies in the county have launched their recruitment campaigns for this year’s cohort of business administration apprenticeships.

Over the past four years 140 apprentices have been recruited by the Health and Care Trust, 80 per cent of who have gone on to jobs within the NHS.

The trust’s workforce transformation manager Penny West said: “Apprenticeships are a wonderful, rare opportunity for young people to start their career in the NHS, obtain qualifications and invaluable experience.

“They allow us to nurture and develop the skills of young people to enable them to become our future workforce”.
